History

The Lowestoft Responders went live on the 3rd April 2006 and within 3 hours were responding to their first call.

Formed initially of a small team from the local Lifeboat and Coastguard Volunteers news of the group grew very quickly and after the next course in November will have a team that numbers over 15 members.

We are the busiest group in Suffolk averaging 40 - 50 callouts per month and so far have maintained 82% availability.
As we are all volunteers we retain the right to book off duty when other commitments dictate however this is rare and has only happened as a last resort.
